I use the free version of StatCounter on my online home business website and find it a really fantastic tool to keep track of visitors to my site and so I was thrilled to learn that Aodhan Cullen, the founder of StatCounter is the BusinessWeek Young Entrepreneur of the Year!!

July has been a month full of surprises for me which made me really appreciate the benefits of working from home with my own online home based business and not having to report to a boss.
I was scheduled for my annual bone density scan and mammogram, which had I been in a normal job would have required that I request time off twice for these two appointments.
But, early in the month I developed an abscess in one of my teeth which necessitated 3 appointments with the dentist to carry out root canal treatment. Here I would have had to ask my boss a further three times for time off.
My bone density scan results required that I go for a MRI scan on three of my vertebrae, so that would have been the sixth request in one month for time off!!!! I can just image how pleased the boss would have been!!!!!
There were two normal doctor’s appointments inbetween all these other appointments so the total amount of times I would have had to ask for time off would be eight!!
Add to the eight hours of appointments the travelling time – 30 minutes to the appointment and 30 minutes to travel back to work – that would be 16 hours off work in one month!

If you want to make money on the internet, there are numerous lucrative affiliate programs that you can join for free.
In basic terms, all you need to do when you join an affiliate program is add a special link containing your unique affiliate ID to your website or blog. Whenever someone follows that affiliate link from your website and makes a purchase, you are credited with a commission for that sale.
Affiliate programs are good for you because you make money from your website visitors without having to worry about shipping and payment processing. They are also pretty good for the owner of the affiliate program too as they are receiving traffic and sales that they wouldn’t normally have received if they hadn’t come via your website.

With all the talk about having video on ones site, I thought I had better do something about it.
So, I have been having some fun the last 24 hours creating my own video which explains a little about myself and how I started Cyn`s Home Biz.
I used Windows Movie Maker (which was already on my pc) and uploaded it to YouTube and Google and it is already live and appearing in the video search results for the keyword phrases “online home business“, “how to start an online home business“, “how to start a home internet business“and “start making money online“.
