Tips On How To Write A Good Article From Scratch
While writing articles may seem like a daunting task you will find it quite easy to do after following these simple guidelines on how to write a good article. And of course the more articles you write the easier it becomes.
Although it will take work and some time to make it happen, it will come quite naturally to you after a while. Article writing all revolves around choosing the right keywords, having a clear purpose in mind when you start writing and making sure you answer the right questions. Your articles will also let the reader know that you are an authority on the subject matter and will give them a reason and opportunity to take the action you wish them to take.
Planning your article
Crucial to the success of your article writing is having the right keyword or keyword phrase. So it is important that you research what keywords would most appeal to your target market. The proper use of keywords will get you noticed quicker by the search engines and help you get a higher ranking.
A very important tip on how to write a good article is to be sure to plan the reason for the article, identify its purpose and keep this purpose in mind with everything that you do.
Then gather as much information about the subject as you can and make yourself knowledgeable. Bear in mind that your target audience may include people who have researched the subject extensively already. Although you may not be able to share much information that they don’t already have, they will know if you really do know your subject. Ensure that your research is thorough and up to date.
You then need to find out what questions are likely to be asked and answer them. You can do this by finding out who, what, where, why, when, and how, then ask the right and pertinent questions and give the correct answers.
Writing the article introduction and opening paragraph
Be a little creative and have an eye catching title that will stand out among all the other articles on the same topic. Then write a strong opening paragraph that will make the reader want to keep reading and that will let them know what it is they should know at the end of the article. Keep the introduction and opening paragraph short and to the point.
Writing the body of the article
This is where you answer the questions that you found. Be sure to use your keywords a few times throughout the article, but don’t over do it. Make your article easy to understand by using short paragraphs, avoiding technical jargon, abbreviations and rarely used words. Make use of the research you gathered citing sources where necessary. Remember to always write from your target market’s vantage point and try to write at their level.
The Resource Box or The Call to Action
This is the point of the whole article and everything that you have done should have led them to this point. The resource box is where you ask or tell the reader that they should click on the link that you provide to find out more. Never assume that they will just do it. You need to give them a reason and tell them that it is something that they are really going to want to see.
Follow these tips on how to write a good article and you will find your chances of success growing by leaps and bounds when you have done this and learnt to do it effectively.
