It dawned on me yesterday how easy it was for me to locate sites in My Favorites that had a little image next to the address, so I decided to find out if I could put one on Cyn’s Home Biz to make it easier for whoever bookmarked my site to locate.

I started my search on Google and discovered that the little image that replaces the IE logo (in IE) is called a Favicon and is short for ‘Favorites Icon.’ The Favicon also shows in the address bar as well. What a great way to personalise your site.

I had fun creating my own personal 16 x 16 pixel image in MyImager and then found a site on Google to upload it to in order to create a favicon.ico file. I then loaded that favicon.ico file up to my site and bingo I now have a Favicon.
