Targeted Website Traffic Is What You Need
Visitors that are targeted to your niche are the best visitors that you can get for your website. Whilst it is easier just to get any old type of traffic, thousands of visitors aren’t much use if they aren’t going to buy what you are offering. You need visitors that are looking for what your website offers if you want visitors to purchase your product or service. There is a vast difference between plain old traffic and targeted website traffic.
You can easily target your traffic when you have a good understanding of the market that you want to reach. It will be worthwhile to take the time to do some research so that you can get that understanding of your target audience. It is more profitable in the long term, when you are in business, if you do the correct research at the beginning.
When advertising your site there is no point placing adverts on sites that are not related to your niche. Post your advertising on sites that are relevant to what you are promoting. If you are paying per click for your advertising this is really important, as you don’t want to pay for thousands of clicks of untargeted visitors. You want those clicks to convert into paying customers. When you change to advertising on more targeted websites your traffic may decrease but your sales are likely to increase due to the fact that your audience is becoming more targeted.
Word your advertising to attract your target audience. When promoting a product for sale it is not a good idea to advertise as giving away something for free or you are likely to attract people that want freebies and not buying customers. By simply changing the wording of your ad can make a big difference to your sales. Your aim is to attract visitors that already want to buy your product.
Locate websites that are content based and have content that relates to your niche. Sites that are full of advertising will mean you will have more competition. So, if you can find sites with little or no advertising but lots of content then your advertising will stand out.
Always test different phrases and keywords in your ads to find which one converts best. You might want to try some different ads that target the different keyword phrases relating to your niche because different people will search for various terms.
Try to think like one of your customers when you create your ad. In other words, if you were looking to purchase your product what would you be looking for? What words or images would attract your attention? What is it that you want to see? Try to think as the customer rather than a business owner and your ads will tend to be more appealing to your customer when you are thinking along the same lines as they are. Often it’s when you think outside the box that you are most successful, so don’t be afraid to experiment with different advertising.
It is important to stay up to date with your advertising as ads that are outdated will not be reaching a targeted audience. As advertising methods change all the time and your product may even change over time, you will need to keep your ads up to date and current with what you are selling and what your customers are looking for.
